The ioTORQ EMIS platform includes a REST API. This offers a standard interface that can be queried through HTTPS to import or export data, as well as control anything that is available through the user interface. For example, an application can retrieve a list of variables from ioTORQ EMIS, make some changes, and push the updates back. This application could also create and update targets and set notifications.
The API can also connect to third-party applications like Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
