Version 2.24.0

  • Updated

Release Date: 01/14/2024

What's New?

New Exception Rule Option

To allow for further customization of Alerting Managers, a new option "above or below" has been added to Exception rules:

When "above or below" is selected, then an exception should be generated if the data is x% above or below the Target. In the above example, if the sum over an hour is at least 10% above or below the selected Target then an exception should be generated.

For Fixed Range Targets, "above or below" would apply to x% above the upper range and x% below the lower range.

Alerting Rule Preview

To better improve the experience when creating Alerting Managers, we've added a new feature to preview the Alerting Rule being configured. Users are now able to see a visualization of how Alerts would be generated when looking at historical data.

In the following example, we're generating exceptions if the sum over the week is at least 8% below the Target. Note the exceptions generated from 10-28 to 11-25 and at 12-16.

Within the same Alerting Manager, when we configure Alerts based on at least one exception over the last week, we see a preview of past dates at which this Alert would be recorded:
