Data can be manually imported to variables. While most variables in the ioTORQ system are automatically updated with live data, there are several reasons to use manual data entry:
- Fixed schedules like shifts or production windows can be used to create status variables
- Incorrect data can be corrected
- Historical data can be backfilled to create a complete dataset
- Variables can be updated when a live data connection is not possible
To access the Import Data page, click on Variables in the left panel, then select Import Data. The Import Data page will display detailed instructions for adding the desired data.
Ensure that the date format in your dataset matches the date format selected in the ioTORQ dropdown menu. Additionally, the Meter Code column header must match the automatic variable code to ensure the data is uploaded to the correct location.
If either the date format or meter code does not match, the upload will result in an error.
