Comparison target

Comparison Targets allow you to compare one variable against another. These targets plot the data from the reference variable directly onto the chart of the primary variable. Compared to the Equation Target, the Comparison Target depicts a single other reference variable without any calculations or manipulation of the data.

Like in the Equation Target settings, the Show cumsum option will calculate the cumulative sum of the reference variable.

The Date offset feature can be used to apply a fixed time offset between the primary variable and the reference variable. For example, if the reference variable has a date offset of 1 Day selected, viewing the primary variable on Wednesday will show the values of the reference variable from Tuesday. 

The Date offset feature is useful for quick comparisons of how performance is changing week over week or month over month.

Note: The reference variable chosen must have the same unit as the primary variable.
